Functional Safety (FuSa) and Functional Security Standards (FuSe) Workshops
Experience of working within various embedded software development industries has shown a real need for Training and Consultation support for the implementation of Functional Safety standards like ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and EN 50128, and Functional Security standards, such as ISO 21434 for automotive systems.
While typical TÜV certified training courses provide trainees with a comprehensive understanding of the need for standards compliance and what must be done, in some cases, doubts remain about exactly where to start; a blank canvas and plentiful budget are rarely the reality.
So, training alone often leaves one key question unanswered: How do we achieve compliance?
And, consulting alone does not give customers the “why” of standards compliance, and does not lead to a culture of safety.
Instead, Emenda offers Functional Safety and Functional Security Standards Workshops which provide customers with a unique package of integrated training and consultancy:
The training course will use the standard TÜV-SÜD materials and the trainees will be encouraged to take the certification exam offered by TÜV-SÜD
A clear distinction will be maintained between the training days and consultation; the trainer will not engage in consultation during the training days but will provide this in addition to the base training course.
The importance of TÜV-SÜD independence is understood and highly valued by the trainer so will be maintained throughout
Emenda Functional Safety expert and consultant, Dr. Peter Wilks, is currently approved by TÜV-SÜD to give the following training courses as a basis for the workshops
ISO-26262, Automotive Functional Safety
ISO-21448, Safety of the Intended Function (SOTIF)
IEC-61508, The Basic Functional Safety Standard
Medical software development, QA and testing
And ISO-21434, Automotive Cybersecurity
